Gateway to Holistic Education: Manipal Pokhara College of Medical Science (MpCOMS), Nepal is one of the premier institutions of Nepal, offering programs in medicine. It was established in 1994 as first private medical college of Nepal and was born out of the vision to build global leadership in human development, education and health care partnerships and a ‘Health for all’ mission.
MpCOMS is the result of collaboration between the Manipal Education Group and the Government of Nepal. MpCOMS is affiliated to Kathmandu University and is recognised across the world, for its high standards of excellence.

MpCOMS offers a five and a half years MBBS (four and a half years + one year internship) degree programme, besides PG (MD/MS/DM) and Nursing (PCL/BSc) programs. The language of instruction at MCMOMS is English.
The Campus: MpCOMS functions from two campuses. The Deep Campus is spread across 8 acres of wooded land, housing the preclinical sciences departments, hostels and other facilities for preclinical students. The second, Phulbari Campus, is a 30-acre campus, and has a 825-bed multi-speciality teaching hospital.
Manipal Teaching Hospital: The 750-bed capacity Manipal Teaching Hospital (MTH) is a 7 storey building with a total built up area of 5 lakh sq ft. It is magnificent edifice, blending modernity with the traditional Nepali style of architecture. The outpatient services were inaugurated in September 1998 and inpatient services started in January 1999, with modern diagnostic facilities and support services for secondary and tertiary level medical problems. MTH has been constructed with a futuristic approach laying emphasis on the space required for teaching programs for the undergraduates, postgraduates and allied health manpower. Manipal Teaching Hospital is set up with state of the art facilities for superior medical education and healthcare.
