Recently a man, who was waiting for me to finish caesarean section, in the middle of the night outside the operation theatre, he bowed down crying and thanking me for saving his wife’s and his child’s life. That husband’s gratitude towards my team and my efforts in saving his near and dear ones was really heartening and I’m blessed to serve them.
Another day I was at the supermarket and a lady suddenly came running towards me and hugged me in front of all the people there, I was caught completely off guard and later I found out it was a previous patient of mine. These doting emotions towards my efforts really make everything I do worthwhile, and I will keep putting my best efforts to help my patients.
We, as women, tend to give our health the least priority. This usually results in late diagnosis and treatment of our problems leading to severe consequences. We do not realize how important we are to our family and loved ones. Therefore, it is mandatory for women to undergo annual health checkup, especially the reproductive health checkup.
