Reaching Out to the Community for Medical Camps and Special Drives

In addition to the hospital services within the premises of Manipal Teaching Hospital, we have co-ordinate NGO’s and other organizations as partners where we send our doctors & nurses for managing the Community Health Camps in order to deliver healthcare services at the grass-root level. On top of these regular outreach and field activities, numerous clinical camps are conducted by different departments for check-ups, screening, and if needed referral with Camp Coupon for special discounts on hospital services.
Health Camp and Health Desk
At Manipal Teaching Hospital, we are deeply committed to addressing the healthcare needs of communities within Gandaki Province. Through our regular health camps and health desks, we strive to provide vital medical services to underserved populations. However, the rising demand for these services presents challenges, as our current logistical infrastructure and financial resources are not sufficient to fully meet the growing needs of the region. The limited healthcare facilities in surrounding areas further compound the situation, creating a backlog of unmet medical needs. While our health camps are demand-driven and designed to benefit the community, we face ongoing constraints that limit our ability to expand these essential services.

By partnering with the Rotary Club, we strengthen our commitment to enhancing the quality of life for the elderly, addressing their health concerns, and promoting well-being. Together, we are dedicated to fostering a healthier and more compassionate community for the elderly in Pokhara.

Cervical Cancer awareness program in schools
As part of our CSR initiatives, Manipal Teaching Hospital conducts cervical cancer awareness programs across various schools in Pokhara. These programs aim to educate young girls about the importance of early detection, prevention, and overall reproductive health. Through interactive sessions, healthcare professionals provide vital information on risk factors, screening methods, and the benefits of vaccination. This initiative is part of our ongoing effort to promote health education, empower girls with knowledge, and contribute to the long-term health and well-being of the community.

Caregiver support
As part of our commitment to community well-being, Manipal Teaching Hospital actively supports aged shelters by providing comprehensive caregiver assistance. Our dedicated team of healthcare professionals collaborates with local shelters to ensure that the elderly receive compassionate care, medical attention, and emotional support. This initiative strengthens our mission of improving quality of life for the elderly, fostering dignity, and enhancing their health and well-being. Through regular health camps, caregiver training, and outreach programs, we aim to create a supportive environment for aging individuals in need.
